With the long wait for Attack on Titan (Shingeki no kyojin) second season, fans were skeptical about a third season being produced anytime in the soon. Until we saw the second season finale and the announcement that followed in the coming weeks about the third season that will premiere in 2018.
Last weekend’s Attack on Titan reading Live event Orchestra performance in Tokyo revealed an update for Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan Anime Adaptation. The franchise will be getting a new compilation film in January 2018. The compilation film will be titled “The Roar of the Awakening,” with a planned third season premiering in July 2018.
The compilation film titled “Kakusei no Hoko” (The Roar of the Awakening) will compile the events from the second season and will open in Japanese theaters on January 11, 2018. The Third season will most likely be adopted till the Volume 22 of the Manga, as shown in the teaser trailer below.

A new key visual for the third season was revealed along with a promo and visual for the second season’s compilation film. Most of the staff and cast of the Anime’s second season will be reprising their roles.
The official Twitter account for Attack on Titan Anime also revealed on Sunday that, there will be a new Attack on Titan themed real escape game that will take place in all five ZEPP concert halls in Japan. The game will run through December to March of 2018.
The second season for Hajime iseyama’s Shingeki no kyonjin (Attack on Titan) manga started airing from April 2017 and concluded with 12 episodes on June 17. Crunchyroll & Funimation simulcasted the second season in English subtitles and Funimation also streamed the episodes in English dubbed in the following weeks.
