TV Tokyo announced on Tuesday that, ONE’s popular manga “Mob Psycho 100” will be getting a Live Action Drama which will be produced by TV Tokyo, in collaboration with Netflix. The Live action drama will star Tatsuomi Hamada as Mob. The drama is scheduled for a January 2018 release.
TV Tokyo will air the Live action Mob Psycho 100 Drama in its “MokuDora25” time slot in January 2018, every Thursday midnight at 1:00 to 1:30.
Koichi Sakamoto is working along with Tatsuomi Hamada on Ultraman Geed, who is directing the Live Action Adaptation.
Tatsuomi Hamada said in an interview “I am a single-minded person and not dumb, and I am excited about how I manage to play Mob. Characters are very unique and with evil spirits surrounding Mob. I am very excited and looking forward to the shoot.”
Fuminori Kobayashi, the producer of this Live Action Drama series says, “The original Manga is very interesting and the growth of the protagonist Mob is very solidly drawn on the back of a fierce battle scene. It is that everyone has experienced adolescent troubles and conflicts. A longing for ability and strength not found in myself. I value such fun and youthful stories and I hope to be able to do a realistic depiction unique to a live-action drama.” He also added that more cast members will also be announced at a later date.
